Loss and Bereavement
"We were connected with Ashleigh after our family experienced a traumatic loss. Within weeks, Ashleigh began working with our daughter to help her navigate and process her feelings during this difficult time and to provide my wife and me with skills and resources to support her. Ashleigh played an invaluable role in assisting our family and working with our daughter for the first year after our loss, at times working with her/us weekly. In addition to possessing all of the necessary skills of a child life specialist, Ashleigh was extremely thoughtful, compassionate, and intentional with all of the activities that she incorporated into sessions and the various ways that she worked with our family. While her focus was primarily on our daughter, she also consistently found ways to involve the entire family into sessions when appropriate.
